When you Join WNAR, you are joining the International Biometric Society through the Western North American Region and receive the benefits of IBS membership. You will also be eligible for discounted registration for WNAR conferences. And you will be supporting our profession, providing networking opportunities for yourself and others, supporting student development, and generally helping to promote the development and application of statistical and mathematical methods in the biosciences.
By definition of IBS, WNAR includes 13 U.S. states (Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming) and 3 Canadian provinces (Alberta, British Columbia and Yukon Territory). All scientists residing in this region who have an interest in quantitative biology, whether primarily biologists, statisticians, or mathematicians, may join as a regular, student or senior retired member of WNAR.
Scientists who belong to IBS through another region may join as a supporting member of WNAR.
Memberships are by calendar year and are not prorated. Membership dues paid through September 30th of the current year will be processed for the current year's membership. Membership dues paid on or after October 1st of the current year will be processed for the next year's membership. Membership payment must be in U.S. funds by credit or debit card, through Paypal, or by check/money order payable to “International Biometric Society (WNAR)”. The IBS Tax ID is 86-6053027.
